On a clear summer’s day the new look at Celtic Park has become much more visible.

The action image posters that have been a feature of the Lisbon Lions Stand for the last seven years have been replaced by a more streamlined image of corporate Celtic split by a fantastic side-on image of Billy McNeill lifting the European Cup.

It is certainly less cluttered and pleasing on the eye but after featuring and celebrating various players that created the club’s vibrant history something has been lost with the corporate look and the already well celebrated Lisbon image.

With the competitive season getting underway on Sunday many fans will be making their first visit of the season to Celtic Park.

On the pitch there is unlikely to be many new faces, indeed it is likely that none of the summer signings will start against Aberdeen with Alexandro Bernabei the only contender but Greg Taylor looks like the man in possession at left-back.

Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda are technically new signings but all three were heavily involved in winning last season’s SPFL title.

Joe McHugh has been Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.
When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.
