Ange Postecoglou is looking to integrate Moritz Jenz and Aaron Mooy into the Celtic squad as quickly as possible.

The friendly matches ended yesterday with Jenz getting 30 minutes and Mooy 15 as Celtic ran out 2-0 winners over Norwich City to finish their preparations unbeaten.

With no UEFA qualifiers to overcome Celtic won’t be in midweek action until September but from then until the World Cup Finals in mid-November the fixtures are unrelenting.

A squad of at least 20 first team ready players will be required with Jenz and Mooy among the 21 used in the win over Norwich.

Afterwards Postecoglou told the Glasgow Times:

It’s a big occasion any time you make your debut for a club at home, particularly at this football club. So I wanted to give them that experience today and I thought they acquitted themselves well.

Moritz has had a pre-season although in the last week he’s not done too much but he looked good and comfortable out there.

Aaron’s not [had a proper pre-season] but the point of the experience today was to give him the matchday experience. I know what Aaron’s like and he won’t take too long to get up to speed.

Celtic could set up some friendlies in the coming weeks with the injured Carl Starfelt still to play any sort of match since being injured with Sweden at the start of June.

Postecoglou is still looking to bring players into his first team squad but that could be dependent on moving others on with Chris Jullien and Albian Ajeti looking the most likely to be on the move.
