Brest have announced the signing of Karamoko Dembele on a four year contract.Â
The teenager’s Celtic deal expired last month with the hoops due to collect a compensation fee based on the years spent training the player.Â
Karamoko was touted as one of the best prospects coming through the Celtic Academy this centry but three years on from an impressive debut as a substitute against Hearts he has still to start a competitive game.Â
In contrast, his opponent that day, fellow 16-year-old Aaron Hickey is expected to join Brentford this week in a £15m transfer from Bologna.Â
For one reason or another things never kicked on for Karamoko at Celtic, speaking to the Brest website he said:Â
I come to Brest because I saw that the project presented by Greg Lorenzi was good. It’s something that suits me and I think I can have some playing time here. It was a great opportunity that presented itself to me and it interested me.Â
Almost exactly a year ago Karamoko suffered a bad ankle injury in a pre-season match against Bristol City that was far from friendly.Â
He returned to first team training in January but added just two more substitute appearances with his Celtic career now over.Â

A great we talent ,but I wonder what happened and the word attitude seems to jump out ,
