Kenny Miller has admitted that the Ibrox Tribute Act would have to accept a £6m bid for Alfredo Morelos.

The big issue with this is assuming that a £6m bid will be made for an injured striker in the final year of his contract. In nine transfer windows since he left HJK Helsinki there hasn’t yet been a single bid put in for the chunky Colombian.

At some stage over the last few years a bid in the region of £6-8m could have been made for Morelos but the hype of the Scottish media backed up by Dave King and Steven Gerrard put Morelos in the £30m plus bracket- or Dembele Dollars as some call it.

With a string of red cards and concerns about his fitness there has been no interest in Morelos beyond a bookmaker speculating that Sevilla are favourites to sign him.

Miller spent a season alongside Morelos and now shares his exclusive views with Radio Scotland, Radio Clyde, Sky Sports, BT Sport and Go Radio.

Yesterday the former Livingston boss was on Go Radio discussing the non-existent interest in Morelos.

The Daily Record reports:

When pressed on a valuation, it was put to him that Sevilla had been linked with a £6million move. Miller went on: “I don’t think they will be happy with that, but that is probably the maximum they are going to get.

“If he can score the goals that get Rangers to the Champions League, then absolutely keep him, but there is no guarantee of that. It has been one league out of five, and one cup out of 10 for Alfredo. There is no guarantee that he will score the goals to bring that type of success.

Most pundits and the on-message Ibrox fan media outlets have Morelos valued at a minimum of £10m with most going for £14m ‘cos that’s what Selik got for Edouard’.

Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo, Ryan Jack and Filip Helander are also out of contract next summer with no mention of negotiations over contract extensions.

That rat Miller would be better on radio gaga

  • Edward Murisonthink says:

Think it is a jumble sale of misfits and players nobody is interested in, why u think they ended up ibrokes in first place?

  • Tony Douglas says:

Once again it is clear, no one wants to buy their players at any price, I doubt they could actually give them away because of the money they would want as salaries.
