The perimeter of Celtic Park looked bare and barren last Saturday as fans turned up for the friendly against Blackburn Rovers.
With the floodlights now a very distant memory the giant posters/banners on the Jock Stein and Lisbon Lions Stands have become something of a landmark, celebrating some of the players that have contributed to successes over the first 128 years.
A new look is expected soon, possibly in time for the Norwich City match, if not on show at the SPFL opener against Aberdeen.
Who could be featured on the banners?
One fan with clever software has mocked up the Gavin Strachan look, featuring the first team coach recruited two years ago to replace Damien Duff.
Strachan’s Laptop is one of the enduring images of the Lockdown Season, he even took charge of the team for two matches but last season he was redeemed to an extent as part of Team Ange.
Despite summer rumours of a move to Dundee to take on the poisoned chalice of working with his Dad, Gavin remains at Celtic alongside John Kennedy and Harry Kewell as part of Postecoglou’s management team.

Glad to see he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves. Wouldn’t be surprised if we named the North Stand after him. ?
