Barry Ferguson fears that Leeds United will whisk Ryan Kent into the EPL and is tipping another mythical bid for the former Liverpool starlet.

For no obvious reason Leeds have been linked with signing Kent a number of times over the last three years with the speculation surviving a change of management to Jesse Marsch from Marcelo Bielsa.

With a year left to run on his Ibrox contract the winger is in control of his destiny with no hint that he is about to sign a fresh contract following his £7m move from Liverpool in September 2019.

Alfredo Morelos is in exactly the same situation with Ferguson feeling that Kent is the more likely to move during this window.

Picking up on his appearance on Go Radio, the Daily Record reports Ferguson saying:

He’ll be having the same conversations with Kent and Morelos, getting an idea on whether they want to commit. If they don’t, Rangers will do business with both of them. I’ve got a feeling Morelos will stay, Kent I’m unsure.

The Leeds thing keeps popping up every now and then and I’m sure he wants to go back down and try himself in the Premier League. Rangers would love to keep both, but money talks and every player has a price on their head. If that price is met, Rangers will do business.

During pre-season Gio will be sitting down and getting a vibe, whether they want to stay or whether they want to go. Over the next few weeks, you’ll start to get news coming out about whether these two players will commit.

With Leeds splashing out £21m on Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra it is clear that they have zero interest in signing Kent, last summer they paid Manchester United £25m for Dan James.

Recently on Go Radio Ferguson valed five Ibrox stars at £55m! With just £6m picked up from selling Joe Aribo any bids over £4m for Kent will be welcomed by transfer guru Ross Wilson.
