Ange Postecoglou is expecting some movement over Albian Ajeti.

The striker is halfway through his four year Celtic contract but within a couple of months it was clear that the striker was having problems settling in at Celtic.

A change of manager last summer failed to have bring about any change in fortune although Ajeti did feature fairly regularly in the first half of the season.

Ajeti’s main run in the team came in September after Kyogo Furuhashi was injured on international duty but there weren’t many signs that his Celtic career was about to turn around.

Giorgos Giakoumakis and Kyogo provide Postecoglou with two genuine goal threats in attack, speaking to the Daily Record the Celtic boss said:

Ajeti has had a bit of a knee problem but he trained in Glasgow while we are in Poland last week. We’ll see what happens. There’s still time in this window and there will be some movement.

Slowly but surely Celtic have been working on removing the deadwood that even Postecoglou couldn’t bring back to life.

Vasilis Barkas and Ismaila Soro have been sent out on loan with Boli Bolingoli quitting on a permanent basis as the last remnants of Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon’s signing sprees are wiped away.
