Ange Postecoglou will have three fresh options for Celtic’s final pre-season friendly, against Norwich City on Saturday.

The Celtic boss has carefully been strengthening his squad over the last two months with permanent deals for Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota critical to gaining momentum.

Two back-to-back draws with Blackburn Rovers and Legia Warsaw have highlighted the best and worst of the squad with positive attacking play undermined by some questionable defending.

In both of those matches there was a notable drop in standard after a raft of substitutions but Postecoglou will have a few more options on Saturday as he looks to deliver a more complete performance.

The Daily Record reports:

Gio Giakoumakis will be back for Saturday’s friendly with Norwich after the birth of his child, while new recruits Moritz Jenz and Aaron Mooy could also feature. Postecoglou added: “She’s had the baby so he’s back and he trained today at Lennoxtown with Aaron and Moritz and he’ll be fine for Saturday.”

Jenz and Mooy will have their fitness assessed this week, Jenz has been in training with Lorient while Mooy has been working out on his own since mid-June when he helped Australia to overcome the UAE and Peru to reach the World Cup Finals in November.

Against Legia 22 players were used, with three more expected to feature against Norwich there will be plenty of competition to get in the staring XI against Aberdeen on July 31.

To be honest I believe we are missing Starflelt in center of defence nothing against Julien and Walsh don’t really cut it for me,also midfield in both second halfs were forward think players there was no coordination about who sits and who goes forward and Mikey Johnston,Ajeti, McCarthy
don’t bring anything to the team
