Two years after the Summer of Discontent it seems that love is in the air between Ibrox and Dens Park.
Following an SPFL vote to decide the season based on Points Per Game all hell broke loose as the Ibrox club tried to deflect from their traditional new year collapse.
Trailing Celtic by 13 points with eight games left to play no-one was more pleased to see the season ended than Steven Gerrard. A Scottish Cup defeat at relegation-bound Hearts followed by a home defeat from Hamilton preceded a 3-1 home defeat in the Europa League from Bayer Leverkusen.
Dundee were the convenient scapegoats. Hearts and Inverness Caley Thistle, assisted by Radio Scotland, led the attacks on the Dens Parkers as they left others to join the dots between Gordon Strachan and the 9-in-a-row champions.
Now it seems that all is forgiven, love is in the air with starlet Ben Williamson on loan at Dundee as they look for a quick return to the SPFL Premiership.
