In midweek Lubo Moravcik dropped in on his old club as Celtic celebrated the centenary of Banik Ostrava, winning the match 4-2.

Against Blackburn Rovers today Jota showed that he has picked up on some of the magic that Lubo shared with Celtic fans at the turn of the century.

Back in August 1999, during a 4-0 win over Hearts the former St Etienne midfielder trapped a high ball with his backside, an incident that was more memorable than any of the goals that day.

From a similar position in today’s friendly with Blackburn, Jota showed similar imagination and technique when confronted by an opponent. Rather than look for a ball the former Benfica man flicked the ball high over Hayden Carter, took a step back to control the ball with his lap then send it to space inside. As if it was the most obvious thing in all the world to do.

Celtic were leading 2-1 at that stage with the match finishing in a 2-2 draw.
