Fraser Forster enjoyed all 20 minutes of his trip to Ibrox as Spurs spiked the pre-season bubble of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s dream squad.

After beating West Ham on Tuesday 43,000 turned up on Saturday for the final pre-season friendly with Antonio Colak giving the homeside a first half lead.

Harry Kane will be up against tougher defences in the months ahead but never one to turn down the opportunity to claim a couple of goals he waltzed through the home defence to score in the 51st and 56th minutes.

That took the wind out of the sails of the home fans, in the 71st minute they did get another opportunity to show their anger with Forster replacing Hugo Lloris in goals for Spurs.

The Tottenham back-up keeper was a key factor in Celtic’s second 9-in-a-row success, returning on loan in August 2019 then breezing his way through a Glasgow derby on September 1 as Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes sent 800 Celtic fans home happy.

In December at Hampden Forster repeatedly defied Alfredo Morelos in the final of the League Cup, when Celtic lifted the trophy Ryan Jack was reduced to tears on the pitch.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
