With a 4.30pm Sunday slot Sky Sports made Celtic’s match against Aberdeen their main footballing event- Super Sunday taking a trip north of the border.
Ange Postecoglou has stirred up a little interest among English audiences but nothing much more than curiosity value at an Australian manager turning up in the UK and importing some impressive players from the J-League.
Celtic Park is an enduring asset that over-rides the glitz of the EPL stadiums, fans know that it is somewhere a bit different with three huge stands that have witnessed some incredible dramas, mainly on Champions League nights.

Today’s flag day was the chance to showcase Celtic Park in daytime, Glasgow with sunshine while the Green Brigade did the honours with a highly impressive full stadium Tifo.
It would be easy to overdo it but a league flag, Celtic crest and SPFL trophy at the centre of each stand, surrounded by green and white expressed a very simple message.
After a bleak year of Lockdown the fans are back in force with few stadiums worldwide able to compare with the colour, atmosphere and excitement of Celtic Park recognising trophy successes.
