One touch Giakoumakis took just three minutes to find the net in Celtic’s 4-2 win over Banik Ostrava tonight.Â
Ange Postecoglou’s side had recovered from going behind in the seventh minute to take the lead before the break thanks to goals from Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O’Riley.Â
Giakoumakis replaced Kyogo at half-time and showed that last season’s efficiency around goal is still very much intact.Â

When Liel Abada gained possession halfway inside the Banik half Tony Ralston knew the run to make. When Abada played the ball through the cross towards goal was good but the finish was exceptional as Giakoumakis halted his run, turned towards the ball then hooked a volley into the net although the home keeper got a hand to the shot. 3-1 Celtic.Â
There was another goal for each side, Abada scoring for Celtic with the watching hoops fans pleased to see that from middle to front Postecoglou’s side look good to go with all of the forward looking players sharp around goal.Â
