It is safe to say that this transfer window is fun to watch. If you love betting and you wanted to rest a bit from those 2022 world cup odds, you would definitely have a good time trying to guess where Edouard Michut would go. This talented French professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain. He is also a France youth international, having represented his country at various age levels.
Michut began his career with PSG, making his professional debut in 2015. He has since gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club, winning several major trophies, including three consecutive Ligue 1 titles and two Coupe de France titles.
At the international level, Michut has represented France at Under-16, Under-17, and Under-19 level.
He is undoubtfully talented and he would be a wonderful signing for Celtic. But, where would he fit on the team?
Shadow Striker
This may be a bit of a controversial opinion, when you consider that Edouard Michut has usually played only in the midfield. But, he is an attacking midfielder and that means that he knows how to sneak up on the goal and score when he needs to. That is exactly what a good shadow striker does. However, Edouard is still rather young and he may not have what it takes to be a good striker. But, if he improves his finishing and learns how to deal with defenders in the box, he could be a rather prolific shadow striker.
Winger
It is safe to say that Edouard Michut is more suited for the position of a winger than a shadow striker. As a winger, he won’t deal that much with defenders in the box and he will be able to provide the strikers with his wonderful passes. He also has the agility and ball control required for a modern winger. It is safe to say that the strikers at Celtic wouldn’t mind having him on the wing. He would serve them the balls on a silver platter.
Attacking Midfielder
If you are a betting man and you want to try and guess where will Edouard Michut play in the Celtic team, if they sign him, your safest bet would be the position of an attacking midfielder. That is his natural position and that is where he feels most comfortable. Physically, he looks a lot like Xavi and he has a style of play that is similar to that of the Spanish legend. He can easily score goals, but he is also rather good when it comes to that pass in the final third of the pitch. There aren’t many young players that have such good vision when it comes to the attack. That is exactly why the Celtic strikers are hoping that the management will sign this young and talented footballer.
This transfer window could be rather important for Celtic. If they manage to sign a player like Edouard Michut, they would be favourites in their domestic league and, who knows, maybe they could challenge the big clubs in Europe. Edouard Michut is young and he wants to prove himself. Celtic could be the perfect club for him at this stage of his career.
