Kyogo Furuhashi wants to see Celtic be more clinical AFTER scoring a hat-trick in the 9-0 win over Dundee United.

It was the record away win of the SPL/SPFL era and bettered by two the 7-0 scoreline that Celtic hammered St Johnstone by in April, their highest scoreline of last season.

For the fourth match running Kyogo opened the scoring, in the previous matches he settled for just the one but today he scored three times with the pick of them being his second, a glorious, instinctive 25-yarder that seemed to demoralise United.

Liel Abada added a second half hat-trick but after the match Kyogo told the Glasgow Times that there is more to come:

I have never been involved in a scoreline like that. I am happy with the hat-trick and I am happy with the team and the victory as we scored a lot of goals.

First of all, my teammates always provide me with good passes. The first aim (for the season) would be 20 goals and then I would like to reach 30 and more.

It is the result of our football and what we have been working on. We are happy with the result, but we still have a lot of things to do.

We certainly had more opportunities, but we need to improve our finishing quality although we have the confidence from scoring nine goals in this game.

Kyogo could be in line for a rest on Wednesday night when Celtic face Ross County in the League Cup.

Giorgos Giakoumakis missed today’s match due to illness but with the frequency of games about to step up Ange Posecoglou will want to keep both of his strikers as sharp-and fresh- as possible.
