Daizen Maeda should be back in full training early this week despite being injured at Ross County on Saturday.

The winger seemed to injure himself as he attempted an acrobatic shot at goal late in the first half and failed to reappear after the break.

Liel Abada came off the bench with Jota switching wings as the hoops pushed for a breakthrough with Kyogo Furuhashi obliging in the 48th minute.

There was no noticeable interruption to the way that Celtic played with the depth of squad meaning that there is almost always a like for like replacement on the bench.

Covering the post match media conference, asked about Maeda, The Celtic Way Postecoglou saying:

He got a bit of a knock, but he’s ok, it’s nothing serious. He’ll be fine. I just felt that second half I knew we’d get a lot of the ball, we had the wind behind us, and Liel in those situations he gets on the end of things and can beat his men. I thought he could make an impact and he did.

After scoring in yesterday’s 3-1 win Abada will certainly be pushing for a place in the side that starts away to Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The plastic pitch is bound to have an influence on the team that is picked for the match, Kilmarnock opened their campaign back in the Premiership with a 1-1 draw at home to Dundee United before losing 2-0 at Ibrox.
