Anthony Joseph has confirmed that Celtic have made an enquiry for Alex Collado.Â
The 23-year-old is in the final year of his Barcelona contract and is expected to move on following a decent season on loan at nearby Girona.Â
The Catalan giants are in the middle of a massive exercise in balancing the books with heavy activity expected before the end of the month.Â
An enquiry covers a variety of interest levels but despite completing seven incoming deals Ange Postecoglou has insisted that Celtic remain active in the transfer window.Â
Celtic have made an enquiry for Barcelona attacking midfielder Alex Collado.
The 23-year-old is said to be attracting interest from a number clubs in Europe, including Olympiacos.
Collado, who can also play as a winger, spent last year on loan at Granada.

The initial story came from Spanish reporter Albert Roge.Â
Collado played 17 matches in La Liga last season for Girona with Olympiakos credited with an interest according to the Roge tweet.Â
It is difficult to see where Collado would fit in to the current Celtic side, at Ross County on Saturday Postecoglou was able to bring Liel Abada, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Aaron Moy off the bench with players such as James Forrest and Alexandro Bernabei unused in the first two SPFL matches.Â

The more the merry
I would imagine that we need to offload Jullien, Ajeti & Johnston before, or at the same time as bringing someone in and the names touted atm aren’t very inspiring. Is there any point In bringing someone in unless they’re a starter? Can we ask Alan Brazil to call Ronaldo & just check it out at least! ?
Agree with Anthony here, really can’t see where Collado would fit in other than being another Spanish speaker to keep Bernabei company.
