Aye definitely- watch as Celtic’s Portuwegian superstar picks up the lingo

A year ago Celtic fans were coming to terms with an opening day defeat in the SPFL at Tynecastle.
Tony Ralston’s goal provided little consolation on the back of being knocked out of the Champions League by Midtjylland, it looked like a long season lay ahead.
Back in Lisbon a highly talented winger was unsure what direction his future lay in. The ship seemed to have sailed on his Benfica ship, a Lockdown season on loan at Real Valladolid was spent mainly on the bench watching his side get relegated.
Who could have guessed that in 12 months time Jota would be developing a Glaswegian accent after a summer of globe trotting with Celtic fans in every corner.

Almost from Day One Jota spoke near perfect English, a polite, rounded accent that finished sentences and made life easy for reporters to write up.
A year in the Celtic dressing room, listening to Callum McGregor, David Turnbull, Greg Taylor, Ralston and Stephen Welsh seems to be making its mark. On the park it seems to be paying off.
