BBC Scotland’s gossip page provides their readers with a look at the news from commercial outlets.

Some websites get a mention but generally the headlines come from newspapers, the ‘Gossip’ page is effectively an old fashioned ‘What The Papers Say’.

After their grovelling apology to get back on board at Ibrox the state broadcaster is walking on egg-shells in case they fall foul again.

With Kenny Miller and big Thommo leading the attack on Willie Collum on Saturday there is no danger of Sportscene upsetting the Ibrox PR regime.

Last night The Sun published very detailed coverage of a legal case being taken by the Ibrox club against American businesslady Kyle Fox.

Perennial blazer-chaser Paul Murray apparently played Cupid by wooing Ms Fox to the table, meeting up with her in London trying to put the case for investing in the club, no doubt with a blazer and brogues thrown in for the Borders Banker.

Murray managed to get Ms Fox a date with Ibrox director John Bennett before the club got cold feet and ended discussions.

The Sun has the story on its home page and football page, BBC gossip are more interested in mystery bids from France for Glen Kamara and the Hearts future of Josh Ginnelly.

Kenny Mac and Tom English won’t go near it as they cheer on their club in Eindhoven tomorrow night. Alex Gogic has rejoined St Mirren.

    Not another day(s) in court.
They will get a court room named after them at this rate.
I hope their lawyer is getting paid up front.

  • TicToc says:

WRT Paul Murray, is “Borders Banker” Cockney rhyming slang?

Editor: Strangely he never offered this story to his besties at the Record.

    • TicToc says:

Joe, when any company operating out of Ibrox is involved, or any current or former member of staff, NOTHING is as it seems. Peter Thomas Lawwell had the chance to end that scum and declined in favour of Mamon. For that alone, I’ll never forgive him. Just as bad as ‘them’.

Editor: You are far from alone with that conclusion.

Wish it was a conclusion, I.e. ‘ending’. Pistol Pete is still in the background with son in place and a New Chairman’s job in the offing.
Santa might not be very good for our fans if the New Year heralds in a new dynasty for PL at Paradise.
