Ross County have doubled the allocation of tickets to Celtic fans for the 31 August League Cup tie after being left with hundreds of unsold tickets for the Premiership match earlier this month.

Away ticket allocations for Celtic supporters have been getting cut back at most venues but after a trial at the SPFL match County have decided to increase Celtic’s allocation with the tie not included on their own Season Ticket.

Celtic fans will now have two sides of the stadium with the East Stand (facing the TV cameras) added to the North Stand that witnessed three goals in the SPFL match.

A year ago Celtic set out in the League Cup with a 3-2 win over Hearts that led to a 2-1 final victory over Hibs at Hampden to deliver Ange Postecoglou with his first trophy as Celtic manager.

While attention will be on the pitch at Dingwall the match is played on the final day of the transfer window, in 2021 Celtic announced deals for Giorgos Giakoumakis, Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Celtic were given 1,399 tickets for the SPFL Premiership match.
