Sky Sports News have been used to get the message out that Alfredo Morelos has been pushed out of the £30m match with PSV Eindhoven by his own team-mates.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is scheduled to hold a media conference around 6pm tonight but rather than break the news at that conference the decision and reasons were released to Sky Sports late this morning.
Reporter Gordon Duncan was invited into Murray Park to break the news while film was shown of the players in training.
Sky has no contractual rights to the Champions League, tomorrow’s match will be shown on BT Sport but Sky was specially selected to put as positive a spin as possible on the Morelos news.

Van Bronckhorst will be speaking to Sky Sports later today about the decision to ditch Alfie.
Rather than the manager making the decision the news has been put out as being partly driven by his team-mates.

With Kemar Roofe out injured Antonio Colak is the only striker available, if he suffers an injury in Eindhoven things will be very bleak for van Bronckhorst- and his dressing room decision makers.
