Derby Day referee Nick Walsh’s incredible stats involving the Ibrox Tribute Act

The Ibrox Tribute Act hasn’t lost any of the 14 matches that Nick Walsh has refereed.

In his day job at Boclair Academy where he is a PE teacher, Walsh is in daily contact with Murray Park starlets, arranging training programmes to compliment the plans of the club.

Asked about Walsh at last year’s Celtic AGM Ian Bankier claimed that the club had deep concerns. Clearly the Celtic chairman has zero clout inside the SFA with Walsh appointed to take charge of Saturday’s Glasgow derby.

That question came soon after Walsh had booked Cameron Carter-Vickers for twice getting kicked by St Johnstone’s Chris Kane, the on-loan Spurs defender was on the ground at the time.

Walsh then took charge of Celtic v St Johnstone in the League Cup semi final with Shaun Rooney only booked for deliberately elbowing Stephen Welsh in the face, the Celtic defender had to be substituted.

During one run last year Walsh sent off Callum McGregor, Ryan Porteous, Stephen O’Donnell and Josh Ginnelly over the course of six matches with the Tribute Act winning each game.
