Don Robertson strikes again as Greg Taylor suffers

Last season two players were subjected to retrospective red cards and suspensions from the SFA following matches against Celtic.

Calum Butcher on David Turnbull and Mouhamed Niang on Yosuke Ideguchi were punished by yellow cards while playing for Dundee United and Alloa Athletic against the hoops. Fortunately Turnbull avoided serious injury but Ideguchi was out of action for more than a month with his Celtic career still to get underway.

On Saturday at Ross County the same referee, Don Robertson, was in charge. In many situations like that you’d over compensate, perhaps crack down with some early yellows or a red to show that last season’s incidents were out of character. Not Robertson.

In the build up to Celtic’s opening goal Greg Taylor came very close to a brutal clash that could easily have broken his leg.

Flying straight in to the Celtic defender a County player had left the ground with his left leg straight out towards his opponent with only rapid evasive action from Taylor preventing serious injury.

Jota then created the opening goal for Kyogo, no action was taken against the County player as Celtic continued against 10 opponents.

Robertson has been guilty of this before as this Twitter montage demonstrates.

      Jack,
it would help greatly in understanding what you have written in your post if you could, every now and then, at your own discretion of course, just slow down and use the occasional full stop.
