Willie Collum is facing a long holiday from matches involving the Tribute Act with concerns expressed to the SFA about the competency of their leading referee.

It seems that ignoring an obvious penalty claim for Hibs in the first half of Saturday’s match wasn’t enough for the visitors who had John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos sent off in the second half. Lundstram’s red card is being appealed.

In November 2018 the Ibrox club issued a statement questioning Collum’s handling of a match against St Mirren. The £6,000 fine was well worth it with Collum going more than six months without being put in charge of another match involving Steven Gerrard’s club.

The St Mirren match was on November 3, Collum wasn’t in charge of another match involving Gerrard’s team until May 19.

The Rangers Review understands the club, in previous seasons, have expressed specific concerns about Collum’s competency. Frustrated by Sunday’s display, they have reiterated these concerns once again to the SFA.

The Rangers Review is a long established media partner of the Tribute Act, over the last six months it has become the favoured outlet for leaking out good news to gullible bears.

It looks like Nick Walsh, John Beaton, Steven McLean and Ewan Anderson will be getting more Ibrox appointments.

Last season Crawford Allan raced to Radio Scotland after Kyogo Furuhashi scored a goal against Hearts that upset Kris Boyd, it is unlikely that the Referee Chief at the SFA will say a word in defence of Collum.

For a down and out shower everyone and everything against them so they think how they get away with all this is this how Scottish football should be run pampering to them.

Can Lundstrum reach the ball – no. Does Lundstrum tackle from behind and commit deliberate foul- yes.
Where is the debate. Its a deliberate foul with no attempt to play the ball but could have caused injury to the Hibs man. Correct decision by WC.

These kind of fouls are committed all over the pitch in every game and most times don’t merit a talking to let alone a booking. It’s not even as if Lundstram is the last man there’s another 2 hun players in front of him. Look I despise Sevco as much as the next man and Lundstram has a face I don’t think it would be possible to stop slapping once you’d started but that was never a red card-worthy challenge. Morelos on the other hand…? What a horrible little scrote he is.

It’s not about the one ref who angers THEM on a particular matchday, it’s about root and branch reform of refereeing in Scotland. No more secret allegiances equals less dodgy decisions.

They have this self-appointed mythical authority about them. Like Count Dracula. And they’re not afraid to put it about when the moon is ful … I mean when they feel that their dignity has been encroached upon. Despite the fact they cheated all their way to liquidation and notoriety only ten years ago. So don’t be surprised if he appears at your window some … I mean if they try and put Willie Collum into the dog-house again! Whoooo!

What a total embaressment.I don’t remember Rangers complaining to the SFA about Willie Column when he awarded them a penalty that he didn’t even see,if I remember correctly his back was to the incident meaning that he couldn’t see it but he awarded the penalty on the basis that he “HEARD” the incident.
Some people have very short memories indeed.
