He may well turn out to be a diddy- Knives out at Ibrox for Antonio Colak

Two appearances and no goals into his Ibrox career and the spotlight is firmly on Antonio Colak as a place in the group stage of the Champions League slips out of sight.

A month ago he was a Croatian hit man to be compared with Dado Prso and Nikita Jelavic but there is only so much spin that you can apply to a journeyman striker that PAOK were delighted to pick up £2m for.

With Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe crocked the striking burden has fallen on Colak with alarm bells going off after two anonymous appearances so far to his name. Livingston and Union SG defenders barely knew that he had been on the pitch.

‘A waste of space’ was the verdict of Mark Hateley. That might be OK in the privacy of an executive lounge but it isn’t the message for Radio Scotland to share with traumatised bears after their side have escaped with a 2-0 spanking from the Belgian minnows.

Hateley broadcast what others were thinking, to back it up Jordan Campbell, no longer inside the media tent has produced the analytics to back up the thoughts of the former England striker.

Ever loyal and true The Rangers Review has published two articles backing Colak and trashing the comments of Hateley.

Perhaps it would have been better to have retained Hateley on his Ambassador salary?
