McGowan names the price for Celtic to open Juranovic negotiations

Stephen McGowan believes that it would take a bid of over £15m from Chelsea or Manchester United to get Celtic to the negotiating table to discuss a bid for Josip Juranovic.

Yesterday it was reported that the EPL giants were showing interest in the defender.

Celtic paid Legia Warsaw around £2.5m a year ago for Juranovic who impressed immediately after being thrown into his debut out of position at left-back in the Ibrox Glasgow derby.

Since then he has gone from strength to strength, looking comfortable in the Europa League and establish his place in the Croatian national side that qualified for the World Cup Finals in Qatar.

Celtic would insist on a fee in excess of £15m before considering any potential sale.

Celtic are in no rush to sell, unlike a year ago when Odsonne Edouard and Kris Ajer were in the final year of their contract.

Those fees helped bring in Juranovic and others, at some stage Celtic will be selling again in order to reinvest.
