John Souttar is having an injury assessed as his Ibrox career stalls after 65 minutes.

The Scotland defender missed last night’s defeat away to Union SG due to a knock picked up at Livingston on Saturday that seems to be causing Giovanni van Bronckhorst some concern.

James Sands was drafted into a three man defence last night with Ben Davies introduced late on as the roof fell in against the Belgian minnows

Van Bronckhorst is hoping to have Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos available for Tuesday’s return leg but wasn’t prepared to suggest a timeline for the return of the former Hearts defender.

Ryan had a bad moment on Saturday when he had some problems with his ankle. Hopefully he will be better for Saturday or Tuesday. John also has a problem so we are assessing him. We know exactly what the problem is and that’s why he didn’t travel with us.

Filip Helander has yet to resume full training with Nikola Katic informed that he is free to move on.
