With Antonio Colak firing blanks and looking like a waste of space (according to Mark Hateley) the pressure is on Alfredo Morelos to rescue the Champions League dream.
The pressure on everyone at Ibrox has been ramped up with the traditional seven minute pre-match media conference abandoned yesterday.
In late afternoon an unusual looking picture of Morelos appeared on the club Twitter account followed by a scripted in-house interview with the manager talking up the likely impact of the former HJK Helsinki star.
With his contract expiring next May there appears to be no sign of a new deal being agreed with the usual transfer rumours in short supply this summer.
After being substituted at Dundee on March 20 Morelos reported for international duty but was sent back to Glasgow before undergoing surgery on a thigh issue.
