Loyal Bears have been left with just over a week to arrange travel to Eindhoven after official club partner Corporate Travel Management pulled the plug on a day trip to next week’s Champions League Play Off.

In May 43,000 fans travelled to Seville for the final of the Europa League but CTM have been unable to put together a solitary charter to take fans on the two hour trip to the Netherlands.

With other fans quick off the mark to book up flights to Amsterdam, Brussels and Dusseldorf it is going to be a very costly Plan B for fans to make their way to Eindhoven and back again.

In an email sent to fans that had booked and paid for the trip CTM explained:

CTM Sport have been working tirelessly today to source an aircraft, suitable for the supporters that have expressed an interest.

Unfortunately, due to limited availability, and peak holiday season it has been made extremely difficult to secure an aircraft of acceptable cost that wouldn’t put extra financial cost for the trip to go ahead.

We did not make the decision to cancel the Official Day Trip lightly and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

All supporters who have made payment will receive a full refund, which will be processed within 5 working days.

We appreciate your patience at this time and look forward to welcoming you on an official trip in the near future.

Part-time bears can watch the match on a telly at Ibrox for £29.50 with a free can of Fanta and Sausage Roll with expert analysis from a club leg-end.
