The SPFL Twitter account has decided to celebrate and share Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal away to Ross County with no mention of the crude challenge on Greg Taylor at the start of the move.

The build up and execution was very pleasing on the eye but thanks to the laid back approach to applying the laws of the game there could have been a casualty to go with the celebrations of the opening goal.

Connor Randall launched himself at Taylor, off the ground and with a straight left leg he was intent on ‘laying a marker’ on his opponent but fortunately the full-back was alert to the threat and managed to get out of the line of fire.

Jota took over, worked his way into the box to find Kyogo to net but it could have been a very costly goal for the visitors.

Needless to say referee Don Robertson took no retrospective action on Randall, a common trait in the style of the leading SFA official.

Other teams in Scotland cannot beat Celtic on the park as a contest of a football game. Fact! The alternative is to injure as many of our players and thus disrupt the selection of our strongest side every game.Leniency by referees and officials to these strategies by our opponents is palpable to witness.Thousands of fans are disgusted by it! Celtic FC as a club have to protest to the governing bodies,in the strongest possible terms.NOW!

While such brutality continues to be excused and therefore enabled and encouraged in Scottish football, the country will continue to be a backwater in terms of world football.

No wonder Scotland never reaches any major finals. Creative flowing football is actually frowned upon and discouraged in this country.

Only when it’s Celtic that are providing ‘creative flowing football’ or as the Edinburgh Derby highlighted Hibs.
The amount of brutal challenges by various Hearts player, thus legitimising their appellation as the mini Huns, that went unremarked by Sky commentators and unnoticed by ‘ Cheatin Beaton’ was a disgrace.
It’s no coincidence that /as both Celtic and Hibs play in Green and White and share a common ethnicity that in this parochial, sectarian, Masonic ‘best wee bigoted country in the world’ such agricultural, knuckledragging behaviour on the park is normalised as ‘robust challenges’ in the SMSM and condoned and encouraged by the Football Administration.

They hate Green so much they won’t let Celtic play Hibernian in both clubs home kits where there is no clash with Hoops v a normal top, easy as long as The Hi-Bees stick to their traditional green socks and Celtic to their traditional white ones..

Only a matter of time till they do serious damage to a Hoops star – it was Hetate on Matchday 1 by Aberdeen – they succeeded… it was Taylor on Matchday 2 and they almost succeeded… it’s Kilmarnock on Matchday 3 on the plastic pitch and that thug Power… then Hearts on Matchday 4…

Serious Long term injury is coming down the pipe to a Celtic player soon from these thugs in Scottish Football but we say and do nothing…

  • John S says:

If the ref hasn’t dealt with it at the time, doesn’t this mean there is scope for retrospective action ?
