Two nights on from watching their side lose 2-0 to Union SG Ibrox fans are still trying to come to terms with the result.

A freakish run of results in peculiar circumstances in last season’s Europa League seems to have convinced most fans that they have been watching one of the continents elite squads.

Trying to find reasons for losing to Union SG has become another obsession, the reality of opponents with better players just can’t be contemplated.

Tonight on Super Scoreboard Andy had a ‘brilliant’ theory to explain the result, apparently Union SG are a glorified pub team. What that says of Gio’s giants isn’t quite clear.

With five more days till the return leg at Ibrox there are bound to be more crazy theories put forward by Ibrox fans that can’t face upto the fact that the Champions League is a few steps above the level of their current squad of players and management team.
