The firm behind the new look at Celtic Park have been discussing their work on the stadium.Â
After seven years celebrating a variety of players that have shaped the history of the club those banners came down at the end of last season.Â
A far more corporate look has taken its place with images of Billy McNeill and Callum McGregor at the centre.Â
There was a clamour on social media for all-action replacements featuring the more recent history of a Quadruple Treble and last season’s SPFL but the outcome, while pleasing on the eye is much more neutral than the previous displays.Â
Claire Scanlon of Ocean Designs explained:Â
We have supplied all sorts of signage to Celtic and other Scottish clubs over the years and this latest project is testimony to our ability to deliver high quality work, on time and on budget. There are of course challenges in pulling together a job of such scale, but that’s what we do best.
The displays at the front entrance to Celtic Park change during the course of the season, reflecting different stages, and hopefully successes.Â
Next month there will be a variety of changes as UEFA roll out the Champions League but with no signs of sponsorship in the displays outside of the stadium no changes are likely as the Champions League logos and bunting is added.Â
