Greg Taylor is the only Celtic player to make it into the Sky Sports SPFL Team of the Week.
Incredibly Kilmarnock keeper Sam Walker also earns a place despite losing five goals to the champions.
Sometimes, even in a heavy defeat, a goalkeeper can be outstanding as he keeps the score down but over the piece Walker had a day to forget. When you conceded two overhead kicks and a 25 yarder it isn’t going to be a day to remember.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Walker; Tavernier, Obileye, Rowles, Taylor; Arfield, Devlin, Tillman, Matondo; Nouble, Shankland
Time can’t be used as an excuse with three Hearts players in the side from their 3pm kick-off against Dundee United.
Jota’s goal at Kilmarnock yesterday was repeatedly shown on Sky Sports News but it seems that it wasn’t good enough to earn him a place in their Team of the Week.
Next Sunday Ange Postecoglou’s squad can compare themselves directly against Hearts with Robbie Nielson bringing the side in third place to Celtic Park.

Shows what they know about good players sweet fa
I have never paid for a Sky Subscription and I think I never will!
It is because they are rotten! They are subsidising a corrupt game in Scotland. Everyone knows the Game here is rotten, corrupt. But few are prepared to admit it! At the end of the day it is your money. Just think of all the wee kids around the world who don’t get an education and have to work for a living all of their lives because the world is ill-divided because of corrupt people and practices. At the end of the day, that is what you are subsidising. Monthly Outgoings!
Sly tv shows its lack of objectivity and pure unadulterated bias once again in their continued support for the pretence that is newco. Their favourite unionist and anti Catholic club cheated their queen and decent tax paying citizens and died for it.
So now they support the son of hun, pretend they are one and the same as the liquidated dead club that hated Catholics and have the cheek to advertise daily that they’re against discrimination. Yet Trump and rankers are their choice of leaders in the field. Murdoch’s baby is one ugly monster.
Turns out that sly tv are just lovers of liars, tax dodging institutions and supporters of anti Catholics. I’d rather have a lower tv contract with a principled channel than agree to them ever again. Where are you on this Celtic, its another watershed moment for our club. All decent minded people and clubs should hang their heads in shame if they renew the sly tv deal
Airfield only played coming on as sub on 66mins
Reeks of the Pieman having picked that.
In his heid 24/7 lol.
Especially with the Jota omission, almost to prove a point to McFadden and everyone else.
Wit a fat fanny he is :))))
The Kilmarnock goalie in the Team of the Week? That’s a good one!
We could have had Messi and Maradona playing for us yesterday and they still would never have been picked.
I’m quite surprised they never just put out the sevco team as the team of the week.
If Sky pulled the plug, figuratively, on Scottish Football, it would go to the wall, literally. It would finish it! They support it’s current form, but are not wholly responsible for it!
If the SPFL pulled the plug on Sky, the cheating teams and those unable to maintain their place in the market would go to the wall. That way, we would find the current worth of the Game in Scottish Football. In the intervening period, new sponsors could be found and would be attracted into a clean sport. We would get rid of the surplus baggage. This Deloitte nonsense is no more than a Widgery investigation, which is more useful for the status quo than it is for the betterment of the Game!
Bloody hell – 4 Sevco ones in it… they truly hate us – it must be a very big hearted and forgiving Celtic supporter that puts one halfpenny into that mob – starve the lot of The Scottish main stream media !
And who exactly are these SkySports “connoisseur’s of football” that came up with that diddy team?
Well what do sky know about football, apart from paying English football multi millions, they employ Kris Boyd as a panel expert, the killie keeper was awfull, more than likely kris picked the team, enough said on what Kris knows.
