That was stupid- Tavernier hits out at red card Morelos

James Tavernier has slammed Alfredo Morelos for his stupid red card against Hibs.

The Colombian replace Antonio Colak soon after his side went 2-1 in front but the match tilted towards Hibs when John Lundstram was sent off.

Typical petulance from Morelos earned him a straight red card with the nine men losing a stoppage time equaliser to drop two vital points.

Rather than protect a team-mate Tav blabbed about the stupidity of his team-mate in his post-match interview with ‘Rangers TV’.

We concede a sloppy goal in the second half but we did well to put ourselves ahead again.

Then we see a decision to be made on us in which we thought that there was a similar challenge in the first half.

It was a simple trip and he (John Lundstram) get’s shown a red card. It turns the game into their favour.

Alfredo’s one is stupid. Everyone’s going to ask questions but we put ourselves on the back foot but I thought that the character that we shown was good.

It was disappointing to lose the goal at the end but we leave here with a point. We’ve got to look forward to Wednesday now

Stupid Alf will be available for Wednesday’s Champions League Play Off against PSV Eindhoven.
