Celtic’s B team picked up their second victory of the season last night with a 2-0 win away to Civil Service Strollers.Â
After a defeat at Berwick Rangers and draw with Spartans the young hoops came good on the east coast thanks to second half goals from Corey Thomson and Rocco Vata.Â
The win lifts Celtic into sixth place in the table, one point above last night’s opponents who had won two of their three opening matches.Â
Bosan Lawal and Johnny Kenny provided some experience to Stephen McManus’ side who return ‘home’ on Friday night to take on East Kilbride at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium.Â
The breakthrough came in the 67 minute with Thomson scoring his first goal at this level just two minutes after replacing Ben Quinn. Vata clinched the points for Celtic with nine minutes left to playÂ
