Celtic moved into top spot in the SPFL Premiership with a 2-0 win over Hearts.

On the back of a 5-0 win away to Kilmarnock hopes were high of another goal-fest but the home side weren’t quite as sharp around goal while Hearts stuck doggedly to their defensive plan to deny Celtic space.

Daizen Maeda, playing on the right wing, helped break the deadlock by getting the better of Alex Cochrane in the 13th minute then firing in a low, inviting cross that Kyogo Furuhashi happily buried.

The visitors were down to nine men by the time Celtic popped in their second goal. Giorgos Giakoumakis seems to be getting the credit for the goal but it looks to have gone into the net off the arm of a Hearts defender.

However it got there Celtic are back in top spot in the table with a 100% record this season and an 11 month unbeaten record stretching back 11 months.
