Watch Rocco Vata’s double as Celtic hit five against Dalbeattie Star

Rocco Vata caught the eye with two goals as Celtic’s B team scored five without reply against Dalbeattie Star in the Lowland League.
The 17-year-old scored twice in the second half, two impressive finishes but against part-time opponents with one point all season it is difficult to judge exactly where Vata stands in regards to progressing towards first team football.
That situation will be resolved over the next few weeks when Celtic enter the UEFA Youth League. Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk will provide the toughest of tests for the young Celts but with eight Lowland League matches and two in the SPFL Trophy Trust the side will be very well prepared.

Ben Summers and Bosan Lawal opened the scoring in the first half with Tsianelo Letsosa scoring Celtic’s fifth in stoppage time.
On Wednesday Celtic face Stirling University at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium.
