Watch the honest mistake from Nick Walsh opens the door for Ibrox goals-fest

Last week it was Kilmarnock, today St Johnstone were the victims of more dubious decisions at Ibrox. It seems that offside is optional and dependent on the scoreline in the match.

On Tuesday when PSV Eindhoven are in town the match referee won’t be from a PE teacher in Bearsden.

The second goal is always critical, in the 62nd minute Nick Walsh and his assistant were found wanting, last week Alfredo Morelos benefitted, today it was Antonio Colak.

The St Johnstone defender was in possession when Rabbi Matondo slid into the challenge. When the Welsh Usain Bolt made contact Colak was clearly offside, it wasn’t a debate over chest, shoulders or shoelaces, there was clear sunlight between the goalscorer and the last defender.

After scoring the opening goal Malik Tillman hurdled an advertising board to celebrate with supporters, like Moritz Jenz last week at Ross County no card was shown.

Any of ours scoring that and there would be a story every hour about it , retired refs getting their 2 bobs worth in and screaming offside

Aye he looks offside but it’s not Nick Walsh who’s at fault. It’s the ref’s assistant who’s responsible for offside decisions.

  • the maister says:

    Clearly off-side!

  • Stevie says:

Did anyone in our neutral smsm suggest this week that the Hun scorer who celebrated with their fans be booked? Probably not.

  • the maister says:

ST: “Was It Off-Side?” Yes? MS: “Technically Off-Side.” Which is not off-side, so that’s okay then, Mikey! MS: “… Blah, Blah, Blah… Inevitability…” (of a … win at I-prox.) Live the lie Mikey, there’s plenty like ye! and their a’ deid!

No matter how much time has passed, and I’ve been in the Chicago area 41 years. The men in black in charge of Scottish Football never call a game fairly. They all have allegiance to theRangers. They forgot who was paying their wages with the continued big crowds at Celtic Park.

  • Peter Mcnamara says:

When their beloved Rangers were demoted to the lower leagues for cheating the taxman.

Editor: Demoted? They died, administration followed by liquidation, the end of one brand of 140 year old poison.
