Ajax do a Celtic as the Tribute Act are outclassed in Amsterdam

The Ibrox Tribute Act endured a nightmare Champions League debut- crashing to a 4-0 defeat away to Ajax.

It could have been much worse for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side who were outplayed in every area as they attempted the step up from the Europa League to the big time.

Ajax were 3-0 up at half-time, like Celtic at the weekend, they took their foot off the gas with Ryan Jack doing a Jon McLaughlin to present Ajax with a fourth scored by a limping Stephen Bengwijn who was immediately replaced.

Even Mark Warburton and Graeme Murty never suffered back-to-back 4-0 defeats, on Saturday van Bronckhorst has to take his side to Aberdeen knowing that anything less than three points will lead to calls for his sacking before Matchday 2 against Napoli on Tuesday.

Rather than axe the flops that lost 4-0 to Celtic only one change was made with Scott Wright replacing Steve Davis with the former Aberdeen man barely involved before he was replaced at half-time.

Only two of van Bronckhorst’s seven summer signings started the match. Bayern Munich starlet Malik Tilman was substituted at half-time with Antonio Colak getting less than 10 touches of the ball. Alfredo Morelos sat on the bench throughout the rout.

There was one moment of joy when Borna Barisic found the net, after a two minute check the ‘goal’ was disallowed due to Ryan Jack being offside. Leeds United are expected to revive (again) their interest in Kent when the January transfer window opens.

McCoist just said he’s not sure Ajax are that good a side

This is punditry in this country folks

    mental stuff

Can’t accept his team are rank Harold. Bad day at the office type of scenario is the thought of the day.
Ajax poor, then that means, how poor are Sevco. Man’s a walloper.

McMoist and others like are told by the board to get that kind of DONALD TRUMP FAKE NEWS stories out there,Miller has said wee BENNY Ferguson has doubled down on it again.
This is how it goes wrong for them, the team is full of shit players but keep pushing the lie often enough out there that they are good, and the Klan klubs fans lap it up,because it’s coming from one of their own kind.
I wonder what wee Dawbie’s(Harry Potter character)take is on the result tonight aka Derek Clarke.

  • Scud Missile says:

    P45 for Gio.

    • KC67 says:

That consolation “goal” they scored stands in Scottish football every day of the week.

For the huns VAR will be the worst thing to happen in Scottish football – apart from liquidation.

  • Nick66 says:

Let’s not beat about the bush here. Sevco are not a particularly good team. In the SPL they can cover their inadequacies with “Honest mistakes”, but the other side of life is, VAR and it’s levelling out. They were found wanting tonight and the lack of depth in that squad is laid bare for all to see. We lost with 30mins to go, they lost with 30mins played.
I retain faith in our Bhoys to get to second or accept third and EUROPA post Christmas. That lot will struggle in Aberdeen this weekend.

  • Scud Missile says:

Should sevco suffer defeat on Saturday or even draw and Celtic keep on winning do you think auld shug will be predicting them to finish 4th in the league.
Also that FUD Gavin Berry nowhere to be seen since he made that prediction a couple of weeks back when he wrote about our club winning nothing this season, with sevco doing the double and Hearts picking up the other cup.Another P45 in the post.

  • Bob (original) says:

Yep – a loss to Aberdeen – with the early kick off on Saturday – and Gio could get punted.

Well, the Blue Room will not take the blame for the lack of new players in.

And better still: the money won’t be there for new players in January either! 🙂

  • peter cassidy says:

8 goals against in 2 games not great the bigots tonight out played they are just not fit and devoid how to play against a good team lovely.

  • Frankie says:

4 best ways to clean use AJAX.

  • Tony B says:

The huns get away with murder in Scotland.

It’s why they get found out against European teams, because of the level playing field.

Last year was a bit of an exception due to unbelievable luck, but they still won fuck all.

Hopefully VAR will eliminate the worst honest mistakes, and given their ongoing financial problems, the future is looking bleak for the zombie klub.

I would not be surprised if they won fuck all this season and got NUL POINTS in their CL group.

    • SFATHENADIROFCHIFTINESS says:

We can only dream but in the ‘best wee bigoted country in the wurld’ the SFA via the MIBs
will ensure they are there or there abouts.
If put some distance between us you can be rest assured
that they will be steered towards some Cup success.
One off games and sympathetic MIBs are a cert.

  • Michael Conway says:

Loving it,let’s hope Aberdeen demolish them also
