After a morning of talks it has been announced that all EPL matches have been postponed for this weekend.

It now seems very likely that the SPFL will take the same course of action meaning that at most there will be just one round of league fixtures before the end of this month.

Celtic are due to face Livingston tomorrow at 3pm but with some fans having 500 plus mile round trips to make it looks like the SPFL fixtures will be cancelled.

With five weekends lost to the World Cup Finals in November and December there isn’t much scope to rearrange fixtures. The weekend of September 24/25 is set aside for Nations League fixtures.

On Wednesday Celtic face Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw in the Champions League, that match seems likely to go ahead with the Ukrainian side playing on while their nation is at war.
