Ange Postecoglou already has definite plans for the January transfer window.

The Celtic boss introduced the phrase We Never Stop to the club but that could equally apply to transfer policy as well as the training ground.

After three transfer windows the squad certainly has the stamp of Ange about it with last January’s business pivotal to delivering the title and Champions League football.

On December 31 Celtic announced the signings of Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi it marked a sea change in club policy, when Riley McGree opted for Middlesbrough attention quickly switched to Matt O’Riley who needed no settling in time.

Four signings in January were followed by for more in the summer plus three loans being converted, less than three weeks after the transfer window closed Postecoglou already knows his wanted list for January 2023

He told the Daily Record:

We showed last year that we always want to stay ahead of the game. Last January, without certainty or being able to predict the future, we thought about certain positions and what was needed. We’re doing the same again this year. We have already started planning and have identified the targets that we need.

The five week World Cup break is likely to be a busy time of negotiating, from December 17 the season resumes running all the way through to May without interuption.
