Oliver Abildgaard looks like being the only signing that Celtic make on transfer deadline day.
Throughout today the Dane has been strongly linked with joining former Rubin Kazan team-mate Sead Haksabanovic at Celtic with a couple of rumours suggesting that there could be another incoming deal.
Last year on deadline day Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Giorgos Giakoumakis were all announced but this summer there has been a more measured approach taken to building up the squad with the permanent moves for Carter-Vickers and Jota taking up most of the budget.
Celtic business finished with just Oliver Abildgaard to be unveiled.
Mikey Johnston still to finalise Vitoria Guimaraes loan exit and club open to late James McCarthy offers but as things stand, no movement.@Football_Scot #CelticFC #DeadlineDay— Mark Hendry (@mhendry92) September 1, 2022
Hendry broke the news of Celtic’s interest in signing Alexandro Bernabei and seems to have found a very reliable source of transfer information, even when it is to deny stories that are gaining momentum.
Outgoing business seems to be limited as well but getting Albian Ajeti and Chris Jullien moved on over the last week hasn’t weakened the squad in any way.
