Celtic fans are facing more travel misery at Saturday’s home match against Motherwell.

It will be the first SPFL home match in almost a month but rail travel will be severely restricted due to ongoing maintenance issues.

The matchday experience is getting more and more difficult for fans with a lack of transport options despite the stadium being barely over a mile from the centre of Glasgow.

Train services from Dalmarnock and Bellgrove can be heavily congested but they do allow sizeable numbers of fans to quickly disperse with 60,000 descending every matchday.

The introduction of cycle lanes along London Road has restricted the flow of cars and buses with the issue most acute after the match when fans are looking for a fast exit.

On the pitch Ange Postecoglou may be forced into a couple of changes from his preferred Starting XI with a variety of knocks and injuries picked up on international duty.
