Overnight social media was shocked and saddened by the news that Coolio had been found dead.

Almost five years ago the rapper dropped in on Celtic Park ahead of a concert at the SECC, brightening up the half time punditry between Gerry McCulloch and Mark Wilson.

Coolio clearly knew all about the hoops, sharing some ‘banter’ with McCulloch and signing off with a Hail Hail.

Celtic have a long record of being supported by celebrities, in the nineties Billy Connolly and Rod Stewart opened two new stands as the current stadium took shape under Fergus McCann.

Jim Kerr, Noel and Liam Gallagher have also declared their support for Celtic as have Kevin Bridges and Snoop Dogg.

Back in 1972, in Budapest for a European Cup tie, some Celtic fans found themselves in the same hotel as Liz Taylor and Richard Burton who decided to throw a party for their fellow guests.
