Giorgos Giakoumakis appears to be fit and well despite being in the wars against Ross County last night.

The striker started his first match of the season, scored Celtic’s second goal then required treatment for what looked like an awkward shin injury.

After treatment on the pitch then on the touchline he returned to the action with his left sock rolled down and appeared less than 100% fit in the closing stages of the first half.

This afternoon the striker published five all action images on Instagram with no reference to the knocks he took on the night.

The sight of Giakoumakis getting treatment suddenly showed up how vulnerable a squad can be with one important absence.

If the former VVV Venlo striker was to be sidelined Kyogo Furuhashi would be the only natural striker at the club with Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda improvising if they were pushed into playing through the middle.
