Chris Sutton has warned Celtic fans to expect speculation linking Ange Postecoglou with jobs in the EPL.
Last June the Australian was appointed as the Celtic manager with the squad, trophy room and entire outlook of the club transformed from the club he inherited from Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon.
Postecoglou took Australia to the World Cup Finals in 2014 but offers from Europe proved thin on the ground with Yokohama Marinos the job he held before moving to Celtic.
Ange Postecoglou will be linked with managerial jobs in the Premier League and I’m sure will eventually go down south but he’s only just got started at Celtic and he’s building something special. He certainly wouldn’t downgrade to a club Brighton’s size just yet… why would he?

Bournemouth sacked Scott Parker last month and have still to appoint a replacement, this morning Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel with Brighton’s Graham Potter strongly linked with taking charge at Stamford Bridge.
Postecoglou seems absolutely delighted with everything that he has at Celtic but the same was being said about Brendan Rodgers before he upped sticks to dedicate his life to Leicester City.
With a squad evolving exactly as he wishes and the challenge of the Champions League it seems that Postecoglou has the challenge and authority that he has always wanted.
Ironically Rodgers and Steven Gerrard are both under pressure in their current posts, when names are being discussed for EPL jobs it will be a surprise if Postecoglou isn’t a contender.
This does my nut in.We do our homework and due diligence on players and even managers across the globe,polishing up rough diamonds,and the English with their lazy scouting system,and Bob Joylove approach with the shed loads of Dosh just hoover up all our hard work.Noisy neighbours right enough
If Lawwell comes back as chairman the chances of Ange leaving will be hugely increased.
You know its coming, things are going too well .
Lol nickel&dime teams in the EPL all of a sudden a big hairy puddin showing interest our manager,as if he would go there,Brighton,Leicester or Villa if he leaves it will be Chelsea or a team of that quality.
After the total shambles around Lennon’s permanent appointment – and his unforgivably delayed removal,
the Board won a watch by getting Ange – who I am convinced they didn’t know anything about, before Howe walked away.
I would expect the Board to eventually p!ss Ange off, so he also walks away sooner, rather than later.
BUT, we have had 2 decent transfer windows now, so maybe the Board is learning…?
And please tell me they got Ange to sign a new, bumper, longer term contract – and that he’s not on a cheap, 1 year rolling contract?!
Sutton must be short of ideas if he’s coming away with that tripe. Surely he has more interesting topics to discuss than that! Or maybe he hasn’t – and he has run out of ideas!?
Difference we have young side full skill and pace tribute act put in there place by ajax and there fans who were telling gio and his squad take there rubbish home no skill no speed no idea we better every depth fans and real fans were delighted by celtic Park and as callo said they were rocked by celtic took 60 mins before registered a goal if we taken chances cud bin 2 or 3 up but no bleating about gulf in class that’s because our manager is class like players and fans
