Don’t read too much into it- Ange brushes aside the big question in the Australian media

Moving to the EPL seems to be the biggest issue in the Australian media during Ange Postecoglou’s visit to Sydney.

The Celtic boss has made his first trip to Australian since taking charge of the hoops with the main purpose of the visit to promote the November Sydney Super Cup which includes a Celtic v Everton clash.

Postecoglou’s success in Scotland has been well received but much of the local media seem to think that the Celtic job is just a stopping off point on route to the ‘ultimate goal’ of working in the EPL.

Brighton and Leicester have both been credited with showing an interest in the former Socceroos boss but after a year of knocking Celtic into shape there are far bigger challenges to face in Glasgow.

Picking up on that interview the Daily Mail Australia highlighted:

Don’t read much into it. Twelve months ago I was favoured to get the sack by Christmas. I’m really happy where I am – it’s a massive football club. We play in front of 60,000 people every week. We’ve got the opportunity to win trophies – to win the Champions League.

I’m loving it at the moment. I’m living the dream. I’m exactly where I want to be and I’m looking forward to bringing more success to the club.

Postecoglou signed a 12 month rolling contract when he joined Celtic last summer.
