The loyal subjects have lost a Prime Minister, their European dignity in Amsterdam, a monarch, a fixture and thousands looking at pointless flight and hotel bookings to Italy next month. On top of that their team has to play Napoli on Wednesday hoping to avoid a third successive 4-0 defeat.
Even Mr Bronckhorst knows what the consequences of that result would be.
