Joe Hart was among the first to congratulate Liel Abada on another outstanding derby contribution.
Back in February the young winger scored Celtic’s third goal in the decisive derby that sent the hoops top of the Premiership- a position that they’ve retained ever since.
After his hat-trick at Dundee United last week Abada kept his place in the side and responded with two key goals. From two starts in the SPFL Premiership the Israeli has bagged six goals.
Any striker would be pleased with that sort of scoring rate but Abada offers much more than goals, his pace terrifies full-backs while he has the intelligence to link up instinctively with his team-mates.
On his debut last season Abada scored for Celtic in a Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland, on Tuesday night he gets his opportunity against the best of the best when Real Madrid visit Glasgow on Matchday 1.
