The Green Brigade has released a special video clip from last night’s match against Real Madrid.
Anyone that scratches below the surface will know the strong political links of Real whose rise to power as the leading club in Europe was established in the fifties under General Franco’s dictatorship.
Football was one of the main platforms for Franco to push his success, equally those opposed to his regime found matches against Real Madrid as an outlet for their views and protests.

On November 2 Celtic conclude their group matches with a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.
